In North Lincolnshire we ensure that the needs and views of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and their parents or carers, are at the forefront of any changes taking place locally. We also place a strong emphasis on ‘co-production’ when implementing the SEND reforms.

We have been working with key stakeholders. These include children, young people and their parents and carers. As well as a wide range of professionals and independent voluntary organisations. We will continue to do this so that we achieve better outcomes locally.

Current Consultations

Department for Education (DfE) – SEND Review: right support, right place, right time

The government is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND and those in alternative provision. To achieve this ambition we want to work with and hear from:

– children and young people
– parents and carers
– those who advocate and work with the SEND sector
– local and national system leaders

The DfE encourage you to consider the proposals set out in this green paper and respond to this consultation. Have your say – DfE SEND Review; Right Support, Right Place, Right Time,

Together, we can ensure every child and young person with SEND and those in alternative provision can thrive and be well prepared for adult life.

This consultation closes at 11:45pm on 1 July 2022
