Preparing for Adulthood Support

How are we preparing our young people for adulthood?

Young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) have the same hopes, dreams and aspirations as everyone else but sometimes their SEND can mean they experience barriers to achieving these aims.

Young people with SEND may need extra support or adjustments to achieve the outcomes they want and need to learn, work and be full participants of their community.

Promotion of achievement and the best possible outcome for each young person is our primary objective and we hope that with the right support, many young people with SEND can build the confidence and independence they need to lead their own productive and independent lives.

Preparation for adulthood is all about young people gaining choice and control over their aspirations and opportunities.
